12 volt Battery charger project
Introduction
A charger is a device used to charge battery-powered appliances. It stores energy in the battery by forcing an electric current. It is also known as a battery charger or recharger. There are different types of chargers for different applications.
The post describes the circuit diagram and working explanation of a simply designed circuit of a battery charger. Battery charger converts chemical energy into electrical energy, the chemical energy is stored in it and used for conversion when it is needed.
When electrical energy is converted back into chemical energy, the phenomenon is called discharging the battery.
The two methods of charging are constant voltage where the voltage is kept constant and constant current where the current is kept constant.
