Simple LED blinking Circuit using BC547 transistor

Led flashing circuit using bc547

This is possibly the smallest LED flasher ever, capable of infinitely flashing an LED on/off using a single transistor, resistors, and a capacitor. The flashing rate can be varied by changing the value of R1 or C1 or both together. But the supply voltage should not be less than 12V otherwise the circuit may fail to work properly. Here is one BC547 transistor-based circuit for you  An LED Flasher Circuit Diagram. So here is the step-by-step guide to make this Automatic flashing LED circuit.

Circuit Components

  1. 12volt Battery or 12vdc power supply [See Buy Click Amazon]
  2. BC547 Transistor(01pc) [See Buy Click Amazon]
  3. 470uf,16volt polarized capacitor (01pc) [See Buy Click Amazon]
  4. 1k Ohm Resistor (01pc) [See Buy Click Amazon]
  5. 10 Ohm Resistor (01pc) [See Buy Click Amazon]
  6. 460 Ohm Resistor (01pc) [See Buy Click Amazon]
  7. 3mm LED (01pc) [See Buy Click Amazon]

Working of the Circuit

following the Step By Step
  1. First time collect all the required components.
  2. Connect the power supply in the circuit.
  3. when you connect the power supply to the circuit, it flashes the LED.
  4. If that doesn't work, check the connections again. Also, make sure the battery is properly connected to the circuit and power is reaching the circuit components.
  5. If you want to add more LEDs to this flashing LED circuit, connect them parallel with the first LED using proper resistors.

BC547 Transistor(NPN)

BC547 is an NPN transistor so when the base pin is grounded the collector and emitter will be open (reverse biased) and when a signal is applied to the base pin it will be closed (forward biased).

BC547 Transistor Features

  1. Bi-Polar NPN Transistor
  2. BC547 Transistor
  3. Continuous Collector current (IC) is 100mA
  4. Emitter Base Voltage (VBE) is 6V
  5. Base Current(IB) is 5mA maximum
  6. DC Current Gain (hFE) is 800 maximum
  7. BC547 as Switch
  8. BC547 as Amplifier
