We know,

P _{w } = 1000 x 10 x 0.95

P _{w } = 9500

P = 9500w

If an Induction motor takes 5 KVA power at 0.85 (lag) power factor from the AC source. Calculate the Watts rating of the motor.

__Answer__

Where,

Apparent power S = 5KVA , Pf = 0.85

We know,

P _{w } = 1000 x S_{ (VA) } x Pf

P _{w } = 1000 x 5 x 0.85

P _{w } = 4250

P = 4250w
